He built a multi-million dollar real estate empire in Dubai, and now he’s spilling his secrets.
This week on Taking Care of Business, join Recruitment Director Kameron Hutchinson and Chairman Lewis Allsopp as they share the bombshell revelations and inspiring insights behind the “Allsopp Empire”
Let’s dive into their conversation…
The conversation kicks off with Kameron discussing the Lewis Allsopp story, he and Lewis dive into the story of how from the streets of Coventry to the real estate market of Dubai, Lewis's journey begun and where it took him.
Lewis talks about his life, behind the scenes of grit, resilience, and insightful learnings from life's most humbling moments - and what led him here.
Kam talks to Lewis about his early life, and childhood. Lewis shares how his academic journey was far from and how his traditional schooling did not align with his way of learning.
His first brush with the reality of adulthood came with a job selling heating spares in Coventry. It was during these early, difficult mornings—waiting for buses and spending hours in waiting that Lewis realised he wanted something greater from life.
Despite being labelled as a disruptive influence in school, Lewis' change into the working world taught him invaluable life skills. Whether it was handling difficult customers or navigating the challenges of teenage social environments, he learned more from these experiences than any classroom could teach.
Lewis shared how real-world exposure provides lessons in empathy, financial literacy, and understanding human behaviour, shaping a person far more effectively than academic learning.
Lewis' move to Dubai marked a major chapter in his life. After being intrigued by the vibrant opportunities of real estate he saw on the TV, he took a step in landing a real estate job.
His experiences, both good and bad have influenced his business philosophy. Lewis believes in creating a structured ecosystem in real estate, emphasising on the importance of strategic hiring, structured paydays, and market disruption.
Lewis shared how alongside his brother Carl, they founded Allsopp and Allsopp in 2008, in the middle of the city’s recession.
Lewis attributes much of his success to the support systems around him—his father, a successful entrepreneur, and his family—who have shaped his entrepreneurial spirit. However, he firmly establishes that success is self-earned, a product of determination, risk-taking, and learning from past mistakes.
