While the NHS Adapts, We're Elevating: Our Proactive Approach to Women's Health in Dubai

While the NHS Adapts, We're Elevating: Our Proactive Approach to Women's Health in Dubai

Moving from the UK? Let's talk healthcare

One of the big questions we constantly hear from candidates thinking about moving from the UK is, "What about healthcare?"- and we get it.

We're all used to the NHS, where everything's free at the point of use. So, the idea of healthcare abroad can feel a bit... daunting.

Healthcare in the UAE: What you need to know

First things first, let's clear up a common worry - healthcare costs here in Dubai won't leave you with huge bills. By law, every employer in the UAE has to organise health insurance for their employees. So, that essential healthcare coverage is absolutely handled from day one.

Now, why does this feel so relevant right now? You might have spotted that the NHS, just this week, announced a shift for younger women (25-49). If you test negative for HPV, you'll now be invited for cervical cancer screening every five years instead of three, starting in July.

Which actually feels incredibly timely for us, especially since we've just wrapped up our annual female health initiative over the last few weeks.

Going above and beyond: The Allsopp & Allsopp way

At Allsopp & Allsopp, we like to take things a step further. We genuinely believe that a healthy mind, healthy body, and healthy life are key to everything. That's why, for the second year running, we marked the International Day of Action for Women's Health by offering all our female employees a full, comprehensive health check-up, completely covered by the company.

This wasn't just a quick peek; it was a really thorough assessment, including a Pap smear, ultrasound screening, breast examination, complete blood work, thyroid profile, a specialist Gynaecologist consultation and more.

Why do we do this? because regardless of the age group, we believe all women need to proactively invest in their health.

We're also already planning a similar comprehensive health check for our male employees later this year!

Our Chief People Officer, Nathalia Klein, puts it perfectly: "We genuinely care about our team and their health. A healthy body is the starting point to everything in life, so we take it as our responsibility to.provide the peace of mind that comes with knowing your health is a priority. We want our people to thrive, and that starts with feeling great, both physically and mentally."

Dubai: A great place to work (Especially with us!)

So, if you're thinking about making the leap from the UK, we want to reassure you. Healthcare in Dubai is excellent, and when you join a company like ours, we're not just meeting the standard; we're going above and beyond to support your wellbeing. We truly believe Dubai is a fantastic place to live and work, and we're committed to making it an even better experience for our team.
